Thomson Servo Cylinder

Thomson has introduced  electric cylinders, manufactured in Sweden  with flexible  motor mounting options:  

•  PC series –dimensions same as ISO pneumatic cylinder 25/32/40  and  force upto 600 kg( 6000 N) , stroke 600 mm/ 1200 mm/ 1200 mm.
•  PLA series actuator with dynamic force upto 60 kn ( 6000 kg), stroke length upto 1500 mm/ 2000 mm/ 2000 mm

• Infinite positioning option with say servo motor, not possible  for   pneumatic  and hydraulic cylinder. Use any motor make ..
• Speed can be varied   and  programmed as per motor used.

•  Save energy, when power is  off ,  no energy is consumed as safety brake on the motor is on.
•  No leakage of  oil  or  fluid  ,  so  a “ green “ solution.
•  Repeatability  of  10  microns  or 50 microns  as per series
•  Usable  speed upto 2  m/sec ( 2000 mm/sec )   and  100% duty cycle.
•  Reed switch can be  mounted on the actuator.
•  IP 65 protection standard

  The applications area is – material handling, loading and unloading, length adjustment, secondary packing, industrial washing machines , bearing press , testing etc..
